PRODUCT AWARDS

Boardshort of the Year
The Boardshort of the year recognizes the outstanding male boardshort style and is determined by retailer vote and  public vote.

·         Retailers cast one vote considering product innovation, design and sales performance and carries 80% weighting

·         Public vote carries 20% weighting

·         Maximum of two products per category per Brand

·         Products must have been in the market during the previous 12 months

Wetsuit of the Year
The Wetsuit of the year recognizes the outstanding wetsuit amongst its peers and is determined by retailer vote and public vote.

·         Retailers cast one vote considering product innovation, design and sales performance and carries 80% weighting

·         Public vote carries 20% weighting

·         Maximum of two products per category per Brand

·         Products must have been in the market during the previous 12 months

Surfboard of the Year
The Surfboard of the year recognizes the outstanding surfboard model of the year and is determined by retailer vote and public vote.

·         Retailers cast one vote considering product innovation, design and sales performance and carries 80% weighting

·         Public vote carries 20% weighting

·         Maximum of two products per category per Brand

·         Products must have been in the market during the previous 12 months

Surfing Product of the Year
The Surfing product of the year is open to all accessories that assist in the sport of surfing such as legropes, boardcovers, fins, grip etc. The winning product is determined by retailer vote and public vote.

·         Retailers cast one vote considering product innovation, design and sales performance and carries 80% weighting

·         Public vote carries 20% weighting

·         Maximum of two products per category per Brand

·         Products must have been in the market during the previous 12 months

Sunglass style of the Year
The Sunglass of the year is awarded to the outstanding sunglass style as determined by retailer vote and public vote.

·         Retailers cast one vote considering product innovation, design and sales performance and carries 80% weighting

·         Public vote carries 20% weighting

·         Maximum of two products per category per Brand

·         Products must have been in the market during the previous 12 months

Award for Product Innovation
The Product Innovation award is based solely on innovation and is open to all products in all categories. 

·         Nominees lodge a written submission detailing the products competitive advantage, innovation and design benefits. Judged submission carries 100% weighting.

·         Maximum of two products per category per Brand

·         Products must have been in the market during the previous 12 months


MARKETING AWARDS

The Marketing Awards recognize the surf industry’s best, most creative, marketing campaign by an apparel, footwear, wetsuit, hardgoods or accessory brand in the eyes of its retailers. Each award is based on popular vote by members of the Surf Retailers Federation Inc.

  • Retailers cast one vote considering the campaign’s creative, brand image, execution and market positioning for print, digital and point of purchase material
  • Maximum of two campaigns per Brand
  • Campaigns must have been in the market during the previous 12 months

ONLINE AWARD

Online Channel Brand of the year

Online Channel Brand of the Year recognises the Brand who makes the outstanding use of online channels including; social media, website, online and email marketing.

·         Nominees lodge a written submission to a judging panel appointed by the SRF Board. Judged submission carries 100% weighting.


SALES & CUSTOMER SERVICE AWARDS

The Brand Sales Awards recognize the industry's best sales office and sales representative or agency in the eyes of the industry’s retailers. Each award is based on popular vote by members of the Surf Retailers Federation Inc. 

  • SRF Retail members cast one vote considering the support and customer service received.

QLD Sales Representative of the Year

SA/NT Sales Representative of the Year

The following category awards recognize the surf industries leading brands for each category in the eyes of its retailers. Each award is based on popular vote by members of the Surf Retailers Federation Inc.

*The Breakthrough Brand of the Year award recognizes any brand, new or established, that has made a significant and recent impact of the retail market in the last 12 to 18 months, based on consumer demand, increased sales and brand recognition.


INDUSTRY AWARDS

Environment Award 
The Environment Award of the Year recognizes an environmental initiative(s) within the business or community with measurable result(s) in eyes of both SRF Members and Sponsors. This award is open to both brands and retailers.

  • Nominees lodge a written submission and photos to a judging panel appointed by the SRF Board. Judged submission carries 100% weighting.
